About
Meet Steph
Hi, I’m Steph – the heart behind Maison Muse Living! If you’re craving a home that feels calm, layered, and lived-in (without turning into a full-time project), you’re in the right place.
I grew up in Germany, where “cozy” looks like warm light, simple traditions, and meals that bring everyone to the kitchen. Later, living part-time in the United States shaped the way I decorate and host: a little more relaxed, a little more playful, and very much about comfort. Maison Muse Living was born from the desire to blend those two worlds: European charm + American ease, with ideas you can actually use.
European charm, American cozy – real-life home, seasonal decor, and recipes that work.
Welcome!
What you’ll find here
Maison Muse Living is a cozy corner for women who love a home that feels intentional, even on a busy week.
You’ll find:
- Decor Ideas: seasonal styling, color palettes, small upgrades that create “wow” without renovating
- Living: cozy layering, furniture layout tips, budget-friendly swaps, practical styling
- Garden: simple outdoor touches, seasonal planters, and “small effort, big impact” ideas
- Seasonal: holidays, tablescapes, hosting, and the moments that make a season feel like a season
- Recipes: comforting classics, modern cozy bakes, and crowd-friendly menus
I share these topics the way I live them: simple, warm, and not perfectionist.
My approach
I care a lot about credibility, not in a “fancy” way, but in a “you deserve good information” way.
Here’s how content is created on Maison Muse Living:
Decor & styling
- Ideas are based on real styling principles: balance, scale, proportion, texture, and color harmony.
- I aim for repeatable results: step-by-step styling formulas, shopping lists, and clear “if you have this, use that” substitutions.
- I don’t pretend everyone has a huge budget. You’ll see plenty of high/low swaps and simple upgrades that make the biggest visual difference.
Recipes
- Recipes are written for real kitchens. I focus on: clear ingredients, reliable timing, and steps that don’t assume you went to culinary school.
- When I say “tested,” I mean I’m refining for taste and practicality: texture, bake time, make-ahead options, and realistic substitutions.
Product recommendations (affiliate links)
You’ll see product links in my posts. Many are Amazon affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend items that fit the style + function of the space/recipe, and I always try to suggest options at different price points.
About images on this site
You’ll see a mix of visuals here. Some photos are original, and most images are AI-generated inspiration intended to help you visualize a mood, palette, or styling direction – especially when I’m sharing design concepts that readers can recreate with accessible pieces.
Whenever AI images are used, they’re meant as inspiration, not as proof of a real room I’m claiming to own or a product I’m claiming to have photographed.
Thank you for being here. It means the world to me to have this community of kindred spirits who believe, just like I do, that home is the heart of it all.
